Industrial Ingredients & Frozen Fruits

Our dried fruits and vegetables production began in Del Monte Chile in 1996 with only 300 tons of raisins exported.  The growth has been substantial with exports reaching 6,000 tons of raisins, 200 tons of dehydrated apples, 300 tons of shelled almonds, 50 tons of dehydrated vegetables, and 10 tons of frozen fruit.  The cornerstone of this growth has been client satisfaction and product safety.  To achieve this, we have developed under ISO 9001 and HACCP, complete production and processing manuals.  The products we export are produced either in our own farms or are acquired from third party suppliers.  The keys to our success include: employee training, new product development, and use of state of the art technology.  Today, we export to the most demanding markets such as USA, Japan, UK, France, and Australia. Buyers such as Nestle, Unilever, Mariani, Mark & Spencers, and Sun Beam are among our regular clients.

Our products line includes raisins, apples, almonds, and vegetables.  Our raisins are mainly used for consumer and industrial packaging and can be found in jumbo or medium sizes. We have locally developed macerated rum raisins, a product that is used in the ice-cream industry. In apples, we have dehydrated diced and evaporated ring segments.  Lastly, almonds are offered in unshelled and shelled product, and we are currently developing almond granules for the ice-cream industry.  Many of our products are offered in industrial and consumer packaging.

To ensure maximum efficiency, we also process fruits into value added products.  In Costa Rica, we produce individual quick frozen (IQF) bananas and pineapples for industrial, foodservice and retail customers.  Costa Rica also produces frozen pineapple juice in concentrate and single strength form.  Our Hawaii operation makes block-frozen pineapple as well as frozen pineapple juice in concentrate and single strength form.
